Our Story

We love developing solutions through programming. This is why Avidity was founded in 2012, but our history dates back to the 90’s - when Gunnar Hansson, Avidity’s CEO and founder, started hacking. We were born out of the desire to use technology to solve the most complex problems.

Avidity is co-founded by the training company Mindset. Together with Mindset we started our first project - an edtech platform that eventually became Promote International.

At first we exclusively helped Promote International in Sweden develop their Online Learning Platform, and in 2014 we decided to expand the business bringing in new clients and opening a new office in the south of Brazil. Brazil was chosen for two reasons: there were both business and personal connections already there, and the country had a flourishing, strong tech scene with savvy entrepreneurs and developers. We’ve since grown to a multicultural skilled team.

What makes us unique is the combination of tech passion and business-minded individuals. Our team is made of tech people with great communication skills, empathy and talent to understand the intention behind each feature we develop.

Over the years we’ve been hacking away lots of internal support and automation tools to improve the efficiency and quality of our work in various technologies: JavaScript, Python, Ruby, C#/.NET, PostgresSQL and services such AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
